Heather began her career as a Registered Dietitian and then went on to become a Physician Assistant. She worked in cardiovascular surgery before transitioning to plastic surgery. She previously worked in plastic surgery at Regional One, where her passion for plastic surgery grew. She loves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
At PSG, Heather assists in surgery and assists with pre-operative and post-operative care of the patients. She also performs minor office procedures and enjoys the aesthetic side of plastics, using cosmetic injectables and fillers.
Physician Assistant
Allyn Farmer, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant who has been with our practice for 8 years.
Allyn grew up in Santiago, Chile as a child of missionary parents. She is very grateful to have been given the opportunity to live abroad, becoming bilingual in English and Spanish, and earning an International Baccalaureate Diploma prior to returning to the United States to continue her education.
Allyn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Samford University in 2009. She was accepted into the Surgical PA program of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her training in 2011, earning her master’s degree.

She enjoys working on our skin care side, helping run our Sciton laser for age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Licensed R.N., B.S.N.
Sandy Santi is a licensed R.N., B.S.N., with 30+ years of experience assisting in routine and specialized cosmetic surgical procedures and applying complementary procedures such as fillers, injectables, and skin care.
Before joining The Plastic Surgery Group in 2018, Sandy was the principle R.N. at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Memphis. Patients who have worked with Sandy know her as a highly skilled and genuinely caring individual. She has a deep understanding of how the components of plastic surgery — including surgical transformation, specialized skin care, injectable fillers, and muscle relaxants such as Botox — can be used in a harmonious fashion to achieve cost-effective solutions to common cosmetic shortcomings. Above all else, Sandy recognizes there is no “one size fits all” solution in the field of aesthetic medicine and approaches each patient’s need in a holistic and conservative fashion.
Sandy is a Tennessee native who has resided in Memphis since graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1986. She began her career at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in the challenging field of emergency room medicine. She is married with two grown sons and a rambunctious Boykin Spaniel. She enjoys yoga, travel, fly fishing, and crafting one-of-a-kind jewelry for friends and family.
Licensed RN, BSN, MSN, CRNA
Abby Hall, RN, BSN, MSN, CRNA, has been a member of the medical profession for over 22 years. She is recognized as an energetic, highly skilled, yet compassionate provider who understands the importance of “the whole picture.” Abby is known as a perfectionist who desires to make patients look and feel their very best; therefore, she is a perfect addition to our aesthetic team.
Abby began her career as a certified nurse assistant! She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Millikin University (Decatur, IL) and obtained her Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia at Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville, IL). She was an ER/trauma and ICU nurse and has administered anesthesia in general surgery, plastics, obstetrics, and pediatrics throughout her career as a CRNA. While continuing to provide anesthesia services, she joins our team to put her attention to detail and highly unique skill set to work performing aesthetic procedures.
Abby is a central Illinois native from a small farming community where the rest of her family continues to carry on the farming tradition. She is married with two small children and has a very active mini-bernadoodle! She and her family are OU fans! Boomer Sooner! She enjoys travel, life outdoors, time spent at the lake, and getting back to her farm girl roots in Illinois whenever she can!
Dr. Allen Hughes, a founding member of The Plastic Surgery Group of Memphis, P.C., is one of the leading plastic surgeons in the Mid-South. He has been in practice since 1965 and has served on the University of Tennessee Medical School faculty in plastic surgery. He is well known in the Mid-South for his expertise and skill in cosmetic procedures, now limited to facelifts, eyelid surgery, Botox, and fillers.
Dr. Hughes's philosophy of patient care is best summed up in his own words: “The care and quality of care of our patients starts with the very first time we make contact with them and continues through surgery and the postoperative period, encompassing support from our office staff to our patients.”
Dr. Hughes grew up in Memphis and is the son of James G. Hughes, M.D., a former Physician and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee/Memphis Medical School. He graduated from East High School and then went to Southwestern, now Rhodes College. After graduating from college, he selected the University of Tennessee Medical School because the institution presented him with the opportunity to play an active role in patient care and to have a more “hands-on” learning experience.
After medical school and a general surgery residency of four years, Dr. Hughes was chosen from a field of 100 applicants to be part of an intensive two-year Plastic Surgery residency program in Kansas City, Mo. He returned to Memphis to go into practice with Dr. Robert Reeder in 1972 and became Board Certified in Plastic Surgery in 1973. In 1991, he served as President of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr. Hughes is as adept with a paintbrush as he is with a scalpel today. He began painting as a hobby while a Senior Resident and is a decoy carver and wildlife watercolorist. He has produced 50 limited-edition prints and received numerous awards for his paintings. His artistic talents, creativity, and dedication to excellence shine through in all his endeavors as an artist, sculptor, and plastic surgeon.

He performs the full range of plastic surgery with special interests in short scar breast lift and breast reduction, body contouring after pregnancy or weight loss, Brazilian butt lift, nose reshaping, and male breast reduction. He does breast reconstruction with a special interest in reconstruction after partial mastectomy (lumpectomy). Dr. Tavin performs breast augmentation using round or shaped implants placed above or below the muscle depending on the individual woman’s goals, breast shape, and size. Augmentation can be combined with breast lift. In select cases, breast enhancement may be done using only the patient’s own fat.
Dr. Tavin was one of 125 doctors invited to present a paper during the scientific session of the 2013 meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in San Diego. The Meeting is attended by thousands of plastic surgeons from the US and other countries.

Dr. Melissa Kath was a biology major at Colorado College before attending medical school at the University of Minnesota. For her general surgery residency, she headed to our nation’s capital and the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Kath made Memphis her next home as she completed her plastic surgery residency at our very own University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After a fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery with Dennis Hammond in Grand Rapids, MI, Dr. Kath headed south once again to join us at the Plastic Surgery Group of Memphis.
Dr. Kath is proud of her work as a plastic surgeon. She recognizes that every patient has a unique set of challenges. She gives each patient she works with individualized care that takes into account their needs, goals, and desires. Dr. Kath knows that plastic surgery can be a life-changing experience, and as a plastic surgeon, she feels it is a privilege to work with patients to give them the kind of care and results they deserve.
Outside the office, Dr. Kath is an avid runner who has qualified for and participated in the Boston Marathon. She loves spending time with her husband and is also a foodie who enjoys cooking lessons and baking delicious pies.

As a native Memphian, Dr. Campbell is thrilled to put down roots at the Memphis Plastic Surgery Group. Plastic Surgery allows her to express her artistic eye to enhance a patient’s natural beauty.
In addition to her interests in cosmetic and reconstructive breast and body procedures, Dr. Campbell provides caring and state-of-the-art surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation, including face-lift, neck lift, blepharoplasty, tummy tucks, rhinoplasty, fillers, botox, laser, and chemical peels. She also has a special interest in breast surgery including augmentation, breast lift, and reduction, as well as breast cancer reconstruction.
Her interest in plastic surgery developed early when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and treated at the Plastic Surgery Group. This led to a high school internship at PSG under Dr. Lou Adams. Dr. Campbell is passionate about the power of reconstructive surgery, which can restore not just a patient’s form but also their confidence and self-esteem.
Her residency was in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UT Southwestern, which has been ranked multiple times by U.S. News and World Report and Doximity as the #1 Plastic Surgery training program in the country. Her mentors were world-renowned surgeons, and she was appointed administrative chief resident in her final year.
She went on to train in New York City with an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. She enjoyed the opportunity to hone her skills in what was considered to be the highest-volume cosmetic surgery hospital in the United States. While working with prestigious leaders in plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery, she had her own clinic during that year and acted as staff for resident aesthetic surgery cases. Dr. Campbell is also an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Campbell grew up in Memphis. She married Rob Campbell, and together, they have two daughters. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, water skiing, and practicing classical and modern dance.
