Our Procedures

Cosmetic Procedures

Cosmetic plastic surgery incorporates techniques designed for the improvement of the patient’s appearance through surgical and medical techniques and is specifically focused on preserving normal appearance, restoring it, or enriching it beyond the average level toward the patient’s aesthetic ideal - BodyTite is one titular example.

Cosmetic surgery is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive approach directed to all areas of the head, neck and body. Consider it if you’re unhappy with your current appearance and results from other cosmetic enhancements such as makeup, diet, exercise and supportive garments.

Cosmetic surgery may improve your appearance and help you feel better about yourself.

Every surgical procedure involves a certain amount of risk and it is important that you understand these risks and the possible complications associated with them.

In addition, every procedure has limitations in terms of the outcomes that patients will achieve afterward. Although the majority of patients do not experience these complications, you should discuss each of them with your plastic surgeon to make sure you understand all possible consequences.

During your consultation, the Surgeons of the Memphis Plastic Surgery Group are happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have regarding any plastic surgery.

Arm Lift

Arm lift (brachioplasty) reshapes the upper arm that has excess skin and fat. Aging or large weight loss can result in loss of support in the upper arm that does not respond to toning exercises.

Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian butt lift is a popular term for a combination of liposuction and fat grafting intended to reshape the buttocks. By taking fat from the waist area, outer thighs, and underneath the buttocks then preparing it and injecting it into the central buttocks, the “cheeks” can be made rounder, perkier, and more projecting.

Breast Augmentation

Breast enlargement with implants (augmentation) can enhance the size and shape of women’s breasts to better blend with their body shape.

Breast Lift

Breast lift (mastopexy) restores perkiness and reshapes the female breast that is drooping and elongated.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) may be performed for cosmetic or reconstructive reasons. Large breasts may make it difficult to find clothing that fits and may be out of proportion to the rest of a woman’s body.

Chin and Neck Contouring

Issues related to the appearance of the front of the neck and the area under the chin arise from excess fat deposits that are usually familial in origin, or from skin laxity secondary to massive weight loss or aging. In the absence of significant loose skin, fat can be removed with liposuction. The final results are visible at 6 months once the skin has tightened.

Chin Implant

A small chin can create a sense of facial imbalance and make one’s nose appear larger. This situation can be improved by insertion of a chin implant. Implants come in different sizes and can be further trimmed to customize the appearance.

Ear Reshaping

Ear reshaping (otoplasty) is performed to curb the protrusion of the ears to make them less prominent in proportion to the head. Over-projected ears could be the result of several possible irregularities in the shape of the underlying cartilage framework.

Eyelid Surgery in Memphis

An eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) can address the signs of aging around the eyes, which can develop in some people as early as their mid-thirties.

Facelift in Memphis

Facelift (rhytidectomy) treats the looseness of skin and displacement of fat that occurs with aging. In youth the face is full with fat pads situated just below the cheekbones. As we age the fat descends producing the jowls (fat mounds on or just below the jaw line).

Female Genital

In recent years it has become increasingly popular for women to undergo cosmetic genital surgery.

Kybella

Kybella is a revolutionary, FDA-approved treatment for double chins that requires no surgery or incisions.

Liposuction in Memphis

Liposuction treats localized excess fat deposits that are usually genetic in origin. When the unwanted fat is removed the remaining fat and skin tighten up over the next 3-6 months giving the new smoother appearance.

Male Breast Reduction

Male breast reduction surgery (gynecomastia) removes excess breast tissue that may have developed as a result of puberty or exposure to steroids. Depending on the extent of the condition, surgery may involve liposuction alone or require excision of breast tissue.

Mommy Makeover

The combination of abdominal and breast surgery is commonly referred to as a mommy makeover.

Nipple Tattooing

Nipple tattooing can put the finishing touch on a natural-looking breast restoration.

Nose Reshaping

Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) can reduce the size of a large nose or change aspects of a person’s nose that are out of proportion. A drooping tip can be lifted, a hump reduced, or wide nostrils can be made narrower.

Thigh Lift

Thigh lift surgery may be performed for sagging skin of the outer and or inner thighs. Aging and weight loss are the most common causes.

Tummy Tuck

Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a surgical procedure to improve the contour of the abdomen. The best candidates are close to their ideal body weight, but even overweight patients can benefit.
